This Rayman compilation contains the following four games: Rayman Forever Rayman 2: The Great Escape Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc Rayman Origins Rayman Forever contains the original Rayman (1995), the standalone addon Rayman Designer (1997) (level editor + 24 new levels) and Rayman by his fans, which is another 40 of the best fan-created levels as submitted to the Ubisoft Rayman website. Rayman 2: The Great Escape is the sequel to Rayman, a 2D side-scrolling platform game. Unlike the previous game, Rayman 2 is entirely in free-roaming 3D environments, similar to Super Mario 64. Rayman has many unique abilities that can help him get around the world. In addition to being able to shoot his fists, he can use his hair to hover like a helicopter, and even glide on air currents in certain places. He can climb certain walls and ceilings and can even use his fists to swing from special purple Lums which are shaped like rings. Rayman also has many unique items at his disposal, such as powder kegs which can be carried or fly like jets, strange warheads with legs that he can ride and steer like bucking mules, and gigantic plums that can be thrown into the water to create new paths. Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc is a 3D third-person platform game. Rayman, the main hero, jumps and punches his way through numerous colorful levels, with Globox (and Andre inside him) tagging along and occasionally commenting on the goings-on. Rayman's main weapon is his fist; he can use it to shoot projectiles at the attacking Hoodlums and other foes, and the projectiles are more powerful when the fist is charged by holding down the "shoot" button. Rayman Origins is a reboot of the Rayman franchise and a return to the series' 2D platforming roots. Its gameplay can be seen as a mixture between Mario and the first Rayman game. Many of the original game's characters and enemies make an appearance, like Livingstones, Electoons, Betilla and the Magician's hat. There are also various characters from Rayman 2 such as Globox, the Teensies and Lums.
